"Four Reds and One White" is a common firefighting term in Hong Kong. It refers to four red cars and one white car dispatched by the Hong Kong Fire Department (HKFSD) during fire emergencies. 🧯 " Four reds" refer to major pump trucks, hydraulic platform trucks, light rescue units, and turntable ladder trucks, while "one white" refers to ambulances.

🔴 Major Pump

It is the main vehicle of the HKFSD and consists of seven cabins. Its primary function is to provide water to frontline rescuers and deliver water from built-in tanks, wells or any open source.

🔴 Hydraulic Platform

The vehicle's roof is attached to the ladder; its main responsibility is carrying out high-altitude firefighting and rescue operations. It has three compartments and six storage cabinets equipped with breathing aids, simple blasting tools, fire hydrant keys, life-saving rope, and other rescue tools.

🔴 Light Rescue Unit

It is responsible for supplying various types of rescue equipment in rescue operations. Firefighters can pick up the vehicle's tools and equipment outside the vehicle for quick-fire extinguishing operations.

🔴 Turntable Ladder

It has a steel ladder height of 52 meters. The vehicle is equipped with lifting equipment and a light rescue cage to help firefighters perform high-altitude fire extinguishing and rescue operations.

⚪ Ambulance

Responsible for emergency services, such as transporting the injured to hospitals and providing emergency services.
